Spare Android phones
Phones you no longer use that turn on and charge normally. Each one is reset with no personal accounts on it, so none can be your everyday phone.
PocketShare is building a marketplace where app developers rent time on real Android phones. If you have spare Android phones in a drawer, you can host them: they stay at your place, plugged into a small computer, and developers use them remotely, paying by the minute.

A computer that stays on
A Raspberry Pi, a Linux machine or a Windows PC that the phones plug into by USB. It runs the PocketShare hub software.
Home internet
A reliable connection for the hub. Wired Ethernet is best. No router changes are needed.
A few minutes a week
Setup takes longer the first time. After that, the hub runs on its own and tells you when a phone needs attention.
